Sri Lanka aboard 'Yet to be named" MacGregor 26M sailboat. We’re here to share our journey and inspire others to explore the clear blue waters along 1500 Kilometers of wonderous Tropical Coastline.

The turtle on the left, came up to a within a few feet of diners at a busy beach restaurant in Dehiwala with bright lights and a band playing to lay her eggs. Even better still was that two young marine biology undergrads were in attendance to gather up the eggs she laid to be taken out the turtle hatchery south of Colombo.

The huge painted stork on the left was patrolling the hot concrete parking lot of a busy suburban fish retail outlet miles from its regular habitat. After making eye contact and talking to him/her it quietly followed me to my car a respectful 5 feet from me. By then I had reach into my purchases and toss a fish which it caught mid air and swallowed whole. Amazing! Just another day making a living in the neighborhood for a smart bird.
